China Day 1

(At the end of the vid, Neha freaked out cos their doorbell rang...it was the teachers telling Tara & Neha that it was lights out...Alma and i hid so we wouldn't be seen, only to come out of their room 10 mins later to find the teachers standing outside the door waiting for us. Mr Homewood looked like he was gonna laugh...good times. Alma! i cropped you out of the last part of the vid like you asked...if you want the full version of the vid w you in it then tell me! )

The school trip to China was a really good and unusual experience for me. It was the first time our school was going to China to help out with Panda conservation. 24 students + 3 teachers. We went to Ya'an, Chengdu which was a small town, 20 mins away from the Bi Feng Xia Gorge, where the centre was. Day 1 was spent traveling. We met at the airport at 8.30am for our 11am flight which transited in Hong Kong for about 5 hours! We then took a domestic flight to Chengdu and reached at around 11pm. We stayed in Chengdu overnight before taking a 2.5hr coach ride to Ya'an the next morning.

AFTER CHECKING IN & SAYING OUR GOOD-BYES TO OUR PARENTS (*sob sob*), WE WERE GIVEN A SHORT COFFEE-BREAK. SO ALMA, TARA, NEHA AND I DECIDED TO SIT DOWN AND WATCH THE PLANES GO BY!

 FINALLY LANDED IN CHENGDU AROUND 11pm I THINK...THE CITY WAS STILL FULL OF LIFE. THANKFULLY WE DIDNT TAKE THE COACH ALL THE WAY TO YA'AN. INSTEAD WE STAYED IN THIS (FREAKY) HOTEL IN CHENGDU....

I roomed with Alma during the whole trip...i remember we were so so tired by the time we reached the hotel. We hit the sack ALMOST immediately....but before that we went to Tara & Neha's room for 10 mins. Neha and Alma had a lil party but it was interrupted cos it was almost lights out so we had to head back to our rooms! We had a hectic program the next day!
